devIDStatisticCSRGenerationCount
Module: IEEE8021-DEVID-MIB
OID (symbolic): IEEE8021-DEVID-MIB::devIDStatisticCSRGenerationCount
OID (numeric): 1.3.111.2.802.1.1.17.1.2.5.1.4
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: Counter32
Access: read-only
Description: The number of Certificate Signing Requests (CSR, RFC2986) generated by the module. Discontinuities occur at system restart and counter rollover. Deprecated: the module does not necessarily have all the information to generate a meaningful CSR, and key and certificate insertion is not tied to prior CSR generation. If required the signing operation can generate a CSR though this is not required for LDevID insertion.
What is devIDStatisticCSRGenerationCount?
This read-only Counter32, marked deprecated in the MIB (since key/certificate insertion isn't necessarily tied to a prior CSR), tallies the number of Certificate Signing Requests the module has generated, with discontinuities at restart and counter rollover. Treat this as a legacy/informational counter rather than a reliable signal of certificate provisioning activity going forward.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.111.2.802.1.1.17.1.2.5.1.4 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> IEEE8021-DEVID-MIB::devIDStatisticCSRGenerationCount
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.111.2.802.1.1.17.1.2.5.1.4.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> IEEE8021-DEVID-MIB::devIDStatisticCSRGenerationCount.1
SNMPv3 example:
snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> devIDStatisticCSRGenerationCount.1
