rxr1dBaseBridgeAddress
Module: IBM-RXR-MIB
OID (symbolic): IBM-RXR-MIB::rxr1dBaseBridgeAddress
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.6.26.1.1.1
Node type: OBJECT-TYPE
Type: MacAddress
Access: read-only
Description: The MAC address used by this bridge when it must be referred to in a unique fashion. It is recommended that this be the numerically smallest MAC address of all ports that belong to this bridge. However it is only required to be unique. When concatenated with rxr1dStpPriority a unique BridgeIdentifier is formed which is used in the Spanning Tree Protocol.
What is rxr1dBaseBridgeAddress?
Reports the MAC address the bridge uses as its own unique identity — recommended to be the lowest MAC address among all its ports — which combines with rxr1dStpPriority to form the 8-byte Bridge Identifier used in Spanning Tree Protocol elections. An admin might read this to confirm which of a bridge's several port MACs SNMP tools and STP will use to identify the device as a whole.
Examples
Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.6.26.1.1.1 snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> IBM-RXR-MIB::rxr1dBaseBridgeAddress
Get a specific instance (index 1):
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.6.26.1.1.1.1 snmpget -v2c -c public <target> IBM-RXR-MIB::rxr1dBaseBridgeAddress.1
SNMPv3 example:
snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> rxr1dBaseBridgeAddress.1
