Module: IBM-INTERFACE-MIB

OID (symbolic): IBM-INTERFACE-MIB::ibminterfaceClearOutErrors

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2.6.119.4.17.1.1.9

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

When READ, this object always returns a value of noaction(0), since this object is intended as a trigger, rather than providing information.

What is ibminterfaceClearOutErrors?

This read-write trigger object resets the counters for all types of output errors on this interface when set to clear(1); reading it always returns noaction(0) since it exists purely to trigger an action, not to report state. Admins use this to clear accumulated outbound error counts before troubleshooting a recurring transmission error. For example, setting it to clear(1) zeroes out all outbound error counters so new errors can be tracked from a clean baseline.
