hwL2VpnWorkingMode

Module: HUAWEI-L2VPN-MIB

OID (symbolic): HUAWEI-L2VPN-MIB::hwL2VpnWorkingMode

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.119.7.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: This object indicates the working mode of mpls L2vpn.

What is hwL2VpnWorkingMode?

This setting selects which underlying signaling/encapsulation mode the device's MPLS L2VPN feature uses: pwe3 (the newer, standards-based Pseudowire Emulation Edge-to-Edge approach), martini (the older draft-martini style encapsulation it evolved from), or unknown. An administrator selects the mode that matches what the rest of the MPLS L2VPN network, including remote provider-edge routers, is configured to use, since a mismatch here would prevent pseudowires from establishing correctly between devices. For example, an administrator integrating this device into an existing network built around draft-martini pseudowires would set this to martini(2) to match the rest of the deployment.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.119.7.2
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> HUAWEI-L2VPN-MIB::hwL2VpnWorkingMode

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.119.7.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> HUAWEI-L2VPN-MIB::hwL2VpnWorkingMode.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.5.25.119.7.2.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> hwL2VpnWorkingMode.1
