This counter reports the number of PFC pause frames sent by this queue on this interface. An admin monitors it to detect how often this interface is telling its peer to pause traffic for this class of service, which can indicate local congestion or buffer pressure on that queue. For example, a rising hwDcbPfcTxFrames count on the FCoE queue would tell an admin this local interface is regularly asking its neighbor to pause FCoE traffic due to local congestion.
