Description: This is the distance of the fiber between the OLT and the farthest ONU, ranging from 0km to 40km.
What is hwEponOltControlfarthest?
Configures the maximum fiber distance, in kilometers (0-40, default 20), between the OLT and its farthest ONU on this EPON port, which the OLT uses to size its ranging window and upstream timeslot allocation. Setting it too low can prevent ONUs beyond that distance from registering, so admins tune it to match the actual longest fiber run in the PON.
