Description: An integer value greater than 0, that uniquely identifies BGP accounting the inbound traffic or outbound traffic. 1 is inbound ,2 is outbound, and 3 is both inbound and outbound

What is hwbgpAcctDirection?

A configuration setting choosing whether BGP traffic accounting on this interface counts inbound traffic (1), outbound traffic (2), or both directions (3), defaulting to inbound. Admins set this to match what they need visibility into, for example tracking only inbound traffic to watch for an influx from a peer, or both directions for full bidirectional accounting. Setting hwbgpAcctDirection to 3 would make the router track both inbound and outbound packet and octet counts for each configured traffic-type on that interface.
