What is hwVclEncapType?
This sets the ATM AAL5 encapsulation type used on a permanent virtual circuit (PVC), choosing between LLC- and VC-multiplexed framing for bridged, PPP, or IP traffic. Admins must match this to what the far-end DSLAM or CPE expects, since a mismatched encapsulation type on an ATM PVC prevents the link from passing traffic at all. An admin bridging Ethernet frames over a PVC to a residential modem would typically leave this at its default, llcBridge(2), rather than switching to llcPPP(3).
