OID (symbolic): HPOV-NNM-MIB::openViewEcsNodeImportance
OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.17.2.18

Description: If an OpenView event contains this var-bind, it indicates to the Event Correlation System the importance of the node from an event correlation perspective. In situations where the ECS system would normally suppress an event, it may choose not to suppress it if the node is very important (e.g. an important server node). The integral value of this MIB object may evolve over time. For now, non-integral values are invalid, a value of zero indicates that the node is a regular node and a non-zero value indicates that the node is an important node.
What is openViewEcsNodeImportance?
This object, when present in an OpenView event, tells the Event Correlation System how important the source node is from a correlation perspective, using an integral value where zero means a regular node and non-zero means an important node such as a critical server. It lets ECS decide whether to still surface an event that it would normally suppress, based on how critical the originating node is. For example, an event from a core server might carry a non-zero value here so ECS displays it even during a storm of otherwise-suppressed similar events.
