hpnicfVoiceIfCfgEchoCancelDelay

Module: HPN-ICF-VOICE-IF-MIB

OID (symbolic): HPN-ICF-VOICE-IF-MIB::hpnicfVoiceIfCfgEchoCancelDelay

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.15.2.39.13.1.1.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: This object indicates the delay of the echo cancellation for the voice interface. This value couldn't be modified unless hpnicfVoiceIfCfgEchoCancelSwitch is enable. Unit is milliseconds. It is applicable to FXO, FXS, E&M subscriber lines and E1/T1 voice subscriber line. The default value of this object is 32.

What is hpnicfVoiceIfCfgEchoCancelDelay?

This object sets, in milliseconds, the echo cancellation delay for a voice interface, and it can only be modified while hpnicfVoiceIfCfgEchoCancelSwitch is enabled; the default is 32 ms. Admins increase this value on lines with longer round-trip echo paths, such as those routed through longer analog loops or PBX trunks, so the canceller can still capture and cancel the reflected signal. For example, raising hpnicfVoiceIfCfgEchoCancelDelay from 32 to 48 ms might resolve residual echo on a voice port connected through an unusually long local loop.
