What is hpnicfRmonExtAlarmStatType?

This object indicates whether this alarm entry has an infinite lifetime, forever(1, the default), or a limited one bounded by hpnicfRmonExtAlarmStatCycle, during(2); it cannot be modified once the entry's status is valid. Admins set this to during(2) together with a specific stat cycle value when they want a temporary, self-expiring alarm rather than a permanent one. Setting this to during(2) along with a stat cycle of 3600 creates an alarm that automatically deactivates after one hour.
