What is hpnicfRddcNodeWeight?
This read-only integer reports this redundancy group node's current weight value, capped at a maximum of 255, which factors into master/standby election alongside priority. Admins monitor it since a node's weight can be dynamically adjusted, for example by tracked interface states, changing its likelihood of holding the master role. For example, a node whose hpnicfRddcNodeWeight drops due to a tracked uplink going down may lose master status to a peer node with a higher current weight.
