hpnicfQinQv2CustomerTPID

Module: HPN-ICF-QINQV2-MIB

OID (symbolic): HPN-ICF-QINQV2-MIB::hpnicfQinQv2CustomerTPID

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.15.2.137.1.1.2

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

What is hpnicfQinQv2CustomerTPID?

This read-write Integer32, ranging from 1 to 65535 and defaulting to 0x8100, sets the global TPID value used for customer (inner) VLAN tags under QinQ, though it is overridden on any interface where hpnicfQinQIfCustomerTPID is separately configured. An admin adjusts this to match the tag protocol identifier that customer-facing devices expect on the inner 802.1Q tag. For example, leaving this at the default 0x8100 keeps standard 802.1Q customer tags intact while the outer service tag uses a distinct TPID for double-tagging.
