hpnicfQinQEthernetTypeValue

Module: HPN-ICF-QINQ-MIB

OID (symbolic): HPN-ICF-QINQ-MIB::hpnicfQinQEthernetTypeValue

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.15.2.69.1.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: Ethernet protocol type configuring for a global value. The ethernet protocol type is also the TPID(Tag Protocol Identity) field of a VLAN tag described in 802.1q document. This value can be also configured for an individual interface or VLAN. The node that configure this value for a single interface is hpnicfQinQIfEthernetType, whose priority is higher than hpnicfQinQEthernetTypeValue. That means, if the value configured for a interface is different from the global value, the switch will select the configuration of the interface and ignore the global configuration. The ethernet protocol type of node hpnicfQinQVidEthernetType that configured for a VLAN has the highest priority.

What is hpnicfQinQEthernetTypeValue?

A read-write global Ethernet protocol type (TPID) value, 1-65535, used for outer 802.1Q-in-Q tags when no more specific per-interface or per-VLAN TPID is configured; it defaults to 33024 (0x8100). Admins change this to interoperate with equipment that expects a non-standard outer-tag TPID like 0x88A8.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> HPN-ICF-QINQ-MIB::hpnicfQinQEthernetTypeValue

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.15.2.69.1.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> HPN-ICF-QINQ-MIB::hpnicfQinQEthernetTypeValue.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.15.2.69.1.1.2.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> hpnicfQinQEthernetTypeValue.1
