Description: The maximal connection rate(in second). If the connection rate exceed the value, the IP address will be added into blacklist. The IP address will not be removed from blacklist until the connection rate is less than the minimal connection rate.
What is hpnicfNATBLConnectHighRate?
This read-write INTEGER (20-21474836, default 250) sets the global new-connections-per-second threshold above which an IP address is added to the NAT blacklist. An admin lowers this to catch hosts rapidly opening new connections, a common sign of a connection-flood or scanning attack passing through NAT.
