Description: The time between declaration of signal degrade or signal fail, and the initialization of the protection switching algorithm. Step is 100ms, maximum is 10s.

What is hpnicfMplsPsHoldOff?

This value sets the hold-off time, in steps of 100ms up to a 10-second maximum, between when a signal degrade or signal fail condition is declared and when the protection-switching algorithm actually kicks in. An admin tunes this to avoid triggering a failover on very brief, self-clearing glitches. For example, a value of 30 (30 x 100ms = 3 seconds) means the LSP must stay in a fail state for 3 seconds before the switch to the protection LSP begins.
