hpnicfdot1qTpFdbGroupSetOperate

Module: HPN-ICF-LswMAM-MIB

OID (symbolic): HPN-ICF-LswMAM-MIB::hpnicfdot1qTpFdbGroupSetOperate

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.15.8.35.3.3.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Add or delete a Multicast MAC address. Read operation is meaningless. When adding a Multicast MAC address, it is required to provide MacAddress, VLAN and PortList all. For deleting operation, MacAddress and VLAN must be provided, but hpnicfdot1qTpFdbGroupSetPort is optional.

What is hpnicfdot1qTpFdbGroupSetOperate?

This read-write value triggers adding or deleting a static multicast MAC address entry from the group forwarding table; reading it back is meaningless. Adding an entry requires supplying the MAC address, VLAN, and port list together, while deleting only requires the MAC address and VLAN, with the port list being optional. For example, an admin sets this to delete(2) supplying just the multicast address and VLAN ID to remove a static multicast forwarding entry without specifying ports.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> HPN-ICF-LswMAM-MIB::hpnicfdot1qTpFdbGroupSetOperate

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.15.8.35.3.3.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> HPN-ICF-LswMAM-MIB::hpnicfdot1qTpFdbGroupSetOperate.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.15.8.35.3.3.1.3.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> hpnicfdot1qTpFdbGroupSetOperate.1
