What is hpnicfIpReceiveBroadcast?

This setting controls whether the device itself accepts and processes IP directed broadcast datagrams addressed to its own subnet's broadcast address, per the guidance in RFC2644. An administrator sets this to notReceive on interfaces where accepting directed broadcasts poses a security risk, reserving reception only for cases where a specific legacy application genuinely relies on it. For example, setting this to notReceive(2) means the device ignores inbound packets addressed to its local subnet's broadcast address rather than treating them as addressed to itself.

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> HPN-ICF-IP-BROADCAST-MIB::hpnicfIpReceiveBroadcast

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.15.2.33.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> HPN-ICF-IP-BROADCAST-MIB::hpnicfIpReceiveBroadcast.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.15.2.33.1.2.1 i <value>
