hpnicfFtmUnitID

Module: HPN-ICF-FTM-MIB

OID (symbolic): HPN-ICF-FTM-MIB::hpnicfFtmUnitID

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.15.2.1.1.1.1.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Identifer of unit in fabric. Its value should be between 1 and the maximum which defines in product specification. An exception is described in description of hpnicfFtmNumberMode. In that case, the value of this object remains its original value after set to zero.

What is hpnicfFtmUnitID?

This read-write value is the unit's identifier within the XRN-Fabric, expected to fall between 1 and a product-specific maximum. An administrator can set this ID manually to control unit numbering, except that if hpnicfFtmNumberMode indicates automatic numbering, setting this object to zero leaves its prior value unchanged rather than actually clearing it. For example, an admin might set hpnicfFtmUnitID to 2 to explicitly assign that number to a stack member, switching hpnicfFtmNumberMode to manual numbering for that unit.
