hpnicfEvcSrvInstOutCarIndex

Module: HPN-ICF-EVC-MIB

OID (symbolic): HPN-ICF-EVC-MIB::hpnicfEvcSrvInstOutCarIndex

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.15.2.106.1.3.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: The object is used to configure outbound CAR function to this service instance. The CAR index is defined in hpnicfIfQoSAggregativeCarIndex at HPN-ICF-IFQOS2-MIB. The default value is 0.

What is hpnicfEvcSrvInstOutCarIndex?

This object configures outbound Committed Access Rate (CAR) rate-limiting for a service instance by referencing a CAR profile index defined elsewhere in the HPN-ICF-IFQOS2-MIB, with 0 meaning no outbound rate limiting is applied. Admins set this to police how much outbound traffic a specific EVC service instance is allowed to transmit. For example, setting hpnicfEvcSrvInstOutCarIndex to 5 applies the rate-limiting profile defined as CAR index 5 to all traffic leaving through this service instance.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> HPN-ICF-EVC-MIB::hpnicfEvcSrvInstOutCarIndex

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.15.2.106.1.3.1.2.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> HPN-ICF-EVC-MIB::hpnicfEvcSrvInstOutCarIndex.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.15.2.106.1.3.1.2.1 i <value>
