Description: The total number of MAC control packets sent on this interface by the pause operation. This counter does not increment when the interface is in a half-duplex mode. Discontinuities in the value of this counter can occur at re-initialization of the management system.
What is hpnicfEOCUniOutPausePkts?
A count of 802.3x MAC control (pause/flow-control) frames sent on this UNI by the pause operation; it never increments while the port is running half-duplex, and can reset across a management re-initialization. Rising outbound pause frames mean this port is regularly asking the far end to slow down.
