hpnicfEOCCommonCltAutoAuthorize

Module: HPN-ICF-EOC-COMMON-MIB

OID (symbolic): HPN-ICF-EOC-COMMON-MIB::hpnicfEOCCommonCltAutoAuthorize

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.15.2.83.2.1.1.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-write

Description: This value determines whether software performs self-authorization for each Cable Network Unit(CNU) registering to the network. Setting it to false means for every CNU registering, software requires external authorization, and until it's done the CNU is not authenticated. True value means software authorizes each CNU registering to the network automatically.

What is hpnicfEOCCommonCltAutoAuthorize?

Controls whether every Cable Network Unit (CNU) that registers to this line-terminal is automatically authorized (true) or requires manual/external authorization before it's allowed onto the network (false, the default). An ISP admin would leave this false to prevent unknown customer-premise units from silently joining the access network.
