hpnicfDot3OamErrSymPeriodWindowLo

Module: HPN-ICF-EFM-COMMON-MIB

OID (symbolic): HPN-ICF-EFM-COMMON-MIB::hpnicfDot3OamErrSymPeriodWindowLo

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.15.2.42.3.1.5.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Unsigned32

Access: read-write

Description: The two objects hpnicfDot3OamErrSymPeriodWindowHi and hpnicfDot3OamErrSymPeriodWindowLo together form an unsigned 64-bit integer representing the number of symbols over which this threshold event is defined. This is defined as

hpnicfDot3OamErrSymPeriodWindow = ((2^32)*hpnicfDot3OamErrSymPeriodWindowHi) + hpnicfDot3OamErrSymPeriodWindowLo

If hpnicfDot3OamErrSymPeriodThreshold symbol errors occur within a window of hpnicfDot3OamErrSymPeriodWindow symbols, an Event Notification OAMPDU should be generated with an Errored Symbol Period Event TLV indicating the threshold has been crossed in this window.

What is hpnicfDot3OamErrSymPeriodWindowLo?

This is the low-order 32 bits of the 64-bit Errored Symbol Period window size (combined with hpnicfDot3OamErrSymPeriodWindowHi). If the number of symbol errors configured in hpnicfDot3OamErrSymPeriodThreshold occurs within this many symbols, an Errored Symbol Period Event notification is generated, so admins tune this to set how large a sample of line symbols is evaluated for the error-rate check.
