Description: Represents the channel in which the device was last detected. AP will choose the channel which has maximum signal strength as effective channel, as there is interference between adjacent channels.
What is hpnicfDot11MonitorDevChannel?
Reports the channel on which a detected device was last seen; when a device is heard on multiple channels due to interference bleed-over, the AP records the channel where it had the strongest signal as the effective one. This tells an admin where in the spectrum a rogue or neighboring device is actually operating.
