snOspfTxRetransmit

Module: HP-SN-ROUTER-TRAP-MIB

OID (symbolic): HP-SN-ROUTER-TRAP-MIB::snOspfTxRetransmit

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.0.13

Node type: NOTIFICATION-TYPE

Description: An ospfTxRetransmit trap signifies than an OSPF packet has been retransmitted on a non- virtual interface. All packets that may be re- transmitted are associated with an LSDB entry. The LS type, LS ID, and Router ID are used to identify the LSDB entry.

Examples

Send this trap to an SNMP manager — replace <manager> with the IP or hostname of your monitoring server (SNMPv2c):

snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' HP-SN-ROUTER-TRAP-MIB::snOspfTxRetransmit
snmptrap -v2c -c public <manager> '' 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.0.13

Listen for incoming traps on the manager host (-f keeps it in the foreground, -Lo prints to stdout — useful for testing):

snmptrapd -f -Lo -c /dev/null authCommunity log public

Example snmptrapd log entry:

zoo11-linux.zoo [UDP: [192.168.30.111]:50718->[192.168.30.10]:162]:
  DISMAN-EVENT-MIB::sysUpTimeInstance = Timeticks: (141118494) 16 days, 7:59:44.94
  SNMPv2-MIB::snmpTrapOID.0 = OID: HP-SN-ROUTER-TRAP-MIB::snOspfTxRetransmit
