Description: This object specifies the time that the owner virtual router will wait before taking control of its virtual IP address. A value of 0 indicates that the pre-empt delay timer is not active

What is hpicfVrrpVrPreemptDelayTime?

This value sets, in seconds up to 600, how long the owner virtual router waits before taking back control of its virtual IP address after becoming available again. A value of zero disables the preempt delay entirely, so the owner reclaims mastership immediately once eligible. For example, setting this to 30 seconds gives the network a brief grace period to stabilize before the owner router preempts the current master.
