hpicfVrrpRemoveConfig

Module: HP-ICF-VRRP-MIB

OID (symbolic): HP-ICF-VRRP-MIB::hpicfVrrpRemoveConfig

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.5.1.31.1.8

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TruthValue

Access: read-write

Description: This objects clears all existing vrrp configuration and again intializes it with default values when this is set with value 'true'. It also clears (disables) the global VRRP enable flag. SnmpGet on this will always return false. This MIB object is deprecated and the alternate MIB object is hpicfVrrpv3RemoveConfig.

What is hpicfVrrpRemoveConfig?

This deprecated boolean object, when set to true, wipes out all existing VRRP configuration on the device, reinitializes it to defaults, and also clears the global VRRP enable flag. A read of this object always returns false since it represents a destructive action rather than a stored setting. Administrators would use this as a last resort to reset VRRP entirely, for example before reconfiguring a router from scratch, though the newer hpicfVrrpv3RemoveConfig object should be used instead going forward.
