hpicfLinkTestTimeout

Module: HP-ICF-LINKTEST

OID (symbolic): HP-ICF-LINKTEST::hpicfLinkTestTimeout

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.11.1.6.2.1.5

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TimeInterval

Access: read-create

Description: The time interval over which a link test response must be received, or the test is counted as failed.

What is hpicfLinkTestTimeout?

This read-create time interval, defaulting to 100 (one second in TimeInterval hundredths), sets how long the switch waits for a link test response before counting that attempt as failed. Admins tune this to balance test sensitivity against normal network latency to the target. For example, raising it above the default of 100 accommodates a target with a naturally slow response time.
