hpSecPtAddressLimit

Module: HP-ICF-GENERIC-RPTR

OID (symbolic): HP-ICF-GENERIC-RPTR::hpSecPtAddressLimit

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.2.10.3.1.3

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: This object identifies the maximum number of MAC addresses learned on this port when the hpSecPtLearnMode is set to learnFirstN or learnFirstNConditionally. Changing the limit while in these modes clears any addresses for this port in the hpSecureAuthAddrTable. This limit does not apply when the learn mode is set to configureSpecific. This object will return the default value of 1 when hpSecPtAddressLimit2 is greater than 32.

What is hpSecPtAddressLimit?

Deprecated object that once set how many MAC addresses (1-32) could be learned on a port under learnFirstN mode; it has been superseded by hpSecPtAddressLimit2, which supports a much higher limit, and now just returns 1 if that newer object exceeds 32.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.2.10.3.1.3
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> HP-ICF-GENERIC-RPTR::hpSecPtAddressLimit

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.2.10.3.1.3.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> HP-ICF-GENERIC-RPTR::hpSecPtAddressLimit.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.14.2.10.3.1.3.1 i <value>

SNMPv3 example:

snmpget -v3 -l authPriv -u snmpv3-user -a SHA -A "AuthPassword1" -x AES -X "PrivPassword1" <target> hpSecPtAddressLimit.1
