Description: Enable/Disable L4 source port equals L4 destination port DoS protection. All TCP or UDP packets ingress having the L4 source port equal to L4 destination port are dropped.
What is hm2DosMitigationTcpSrcDstPortEqu?
Enables dropping of ingress TCP or UDP packets whose Layer 4 source port equals the destination port, a pattern used in certain DoS attacks (a variant of the LAND attack applied to ports rather than IPs). It's disabled by default; enabling it protects against this specific crafted-packet technique.
