Description: In a Spanning Tree Protocol PDU, this bridge is identified by an 8 octet string composed of hlsDot1dStpPriority concatenated with hlsDot1dBaseId. One of the uses of this 8 octet string is to determine the root of the spanning tree.

What is hlsDot1dStpPriority?

Sets this bridge's Spanning Tree priority value, which is concatenated with the bridge's base MAC address to form its 8-octet Bridge Identifier. Lower priority values make a bridge more likely to be elected the Spanning Tree root.
