Module: HLS-MIB

OID (symbolic): HLS-MIB::hlsDot1dStpHelloTime

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.26.21.1.2.9

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: TimeTicks

Access: read-only

Description: The amount of time between the transmission of Configuration bridge PDUs by this node on any port when it is the root of the spanning tree or trying to become so, in units of hundredths of a second. This is the actual value that this bridge is currently using.

What is hlsDot1dStpHelloTime?

Reports, in hundredths of a second, how often this bridge sends Configuration BPDUs while it is the Spanning Tree root or attempting to become root, reflecting the value currently in effect. A shorter hello time lets the topology detect root failures faster, at the cost of more STP overhead.
