ageingOption

Module: HLS-MIB

OID (symbolic): HLS-MIB::ageingOption

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.26.2.16

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: The status of the Ageing option in the bridge.

What is ageingOption?

Turns MAC address aging on or off in the bridge's forwarding table. With ageing enabled, learned addresses that go quiet are eventually flushed; disabling it keeps learned entries indefinitely, which suits small static topologies but can leave stale entries after a device moves.
