This read-only value reports the number of sessions (tracked flows in the device's stateful inspection engine) currently active on the HH3C device. An administrator monitors this as a load indicator, watching for the count approaching the device's documented maximum session capacity, which could start causing new connections to be rejected. For example, a device showing session counts climbing steadily during a period of unusually high traffic would prompt an administrator to check whether that growth is expected or a sign of a problem like a connection-flood attack.
