hh3cFdmiHbaPortSupportedFC4Type

Module: HH3C-FDMI-MIB

OID (symbolic): HH3C-FDMI-MIB::hh3cFdmiHbaPortSupportedFC4Type

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.25506.2.127.7.1.1.2.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-only

Description: The supported FC-4 types attribute registered for this port on this VSAN. This is an array of 256 bits (32 bytes). The order of the bits in the 256-bit (32-byte) value is represented in network-byte order. If no FC-4 types has been registered, then the value of this object is the zero-length string.

What is hh3cFdmiHbaPortSupportedFC4Type?

This OCTET STRING, sized 0 or 32 bytes, is a 256-bit bitmask registered by the port indicating which FC-4 upper-layer protocols (such as SCSI-FCP) it supports, or a zero-length string if none was registered. Admins use it to confirm a port advertises support for the expected upper-layer protocol before relying on it for storage traffic. An all-zero-length value would tell the admin the HBA port never registered any FC-4 type with the fabric, which could explain why it isn't appearing correctly in zoning.
