Description: Since OAM loopback is a distruptive operation (user traffic does not pass), this attribute provides a mechanism to provide controls over whether received OAM loopback commands are processed or ignored. When the value is ignore(1), received loopback commands are ignored. When the value is process(2), OAM loopback commands are processed. The default value is to ignore loopback commands (ignore(1)).

The attribute has no meaning if the local OAM entity does not support the loopback function (as defined in hh3cDot3OamFunctionsSupported).

What is hh3cDot3OamLoopbackIgnoreRx?

Controls whether this interface honors or ignores an incoming OAM loopback request from its peer: process(2) accepts it (putting this side into loopback and disrupting normal traffic), while the default ignore(1) rejects it. Admins set this to prevent a remote peer from unilaterally forcing this interface into a traffic-disrupting loopback state.
