hh3cDLDPAuthenticationPassword

Module: HH3C-DLDP-MIB

OID (symbolic): HH3C-DLDP-MIB::hh3cDLDPAuthenticationPassword

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.25506.2.43.1.1.6

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-write

Description: This is the password for authentication. If the value of hh3cDLDPAuthenticationMode is none, the user can not set this node. If the value of hh3cDLDPAuthenticationMode is simple or MD5, the user must set this node with a string.

When the user get or walk this node, it displays cipher password if hh3cDLDPAuthenticationMode is MD5 or clear password if hh3cDLDPAuthenticationMode is simple or zero length string if hh3cDLDPAuthenticationMode is none.

What is hh3cDLDPAuthenticationPassword?

This object holds the password used for DLDP authentication when hh3cDLDPAuthenticationMode is set to simple or md5; it cannot be set when authentication mode is none. When read back, it displays as cipher text under MD5 mode, clear text under simple mode, or an empty string when authentication is disabled. For example, an admin enabling md5 authentication would set this object to a shared secret string that must match on both ends of the DLDP-monitored link.
