hh3cBgpEvpnPAtrASPathSegment

Module: HH3C-BGP-EVPN-MIB

OID (symbolic): HH3C-BGP-EVPN-MIB::hh3cBgpEvpnPAtrASPathSegment

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.25506.2.172.1.1.2.1.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: OCTET STRING

Access: read-only

Description: The sequence of AS path segments. Each AS path segment is represented by a triple . The type is a 1-octet field which has two possible values: 1 AS_SET: unordered set of ASs a route in the UPDATE message has traversed 2 AS_SEQUENCE: ordered set of ASs a route in the UPDATE message has traversed. The length is a 1-octet field containing the number of ASs in the value field. The value field contains one or more AS numbers, each AS is represented in the octet string as a pair of octets according to the following algorithm: first-byte-of-pair = ASNumber / 256; second-byte-of-pair = ASNumber & 255;

What is hh3cBgpEvpnPAtrASPathSegment?

This object holds the raw AS_PATH attribute of the EVPN route, encoded as one or more type-length-value segments listing the autonomous systems the route has traversed. Administrators decode it to see the AS-level path a route took, which is used for loop prevention and for judging path length during BGP best-path selection. For example, an AS_SEQUENCE segment showing AS 65001 then AS 65002 tells the admin the route passed through those two ASs in that order before reaching the local router.
