nodeRestart

Module: HCP-MIB

OID (symbolic): HCP-MIB::nodeRestart

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.116.5.46.1.1.1.8

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-write

Description: Restarts the node when set to any non-zero value. (System Management Console: Hardware > [nodeNumber] > Restart Node)

What is nodeRestart?

Writable control: setting any non-zero value restarts this node, the same action as Restart Node in the System Management Console. Writing it reboots a live storage node, so only do it deliberately, and expect the node to report unavailable until it comes back.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.116.5.46.1.1.1.8
snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> HCP-MIB::nodeRestart

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.116.5.46.1.1.1.8.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> HCP-MIB::nodeRestart.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.116.5.46.1.1.1.8.1 i <value>
