nodeNicFailure

Module: HCP-MIB

OID (symbolic): HCP-MIB::nodeNicFailure

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.116.5.46.1.1.1.11

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: Indication of whether (1) or not (2) the node has a failed NIC. (System Management Console: Hardware > [nodeNumber] > Network interfaces)

What is nodeNicFailure?

Says whether the node has a failed network interface: yes(1) means at least one NIC has failed, no(2) means none have. A yes should trigger an alert, since a dead NIC can cut the node off from the back-end or front-end network.
