h3cDiskRunLedState

Module: H3C-DISK-MIB

OID (symbolic): H3C-DISK-MIB::h3cDiskRunLedState

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.10.10.3.1.1.1.7

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-only

Description: This object identifies the runing state of the disk. The value of 'on' means the blue led is on, and the disk works well. The value of 'blink' means the blue led is blinking, and the disk is being readed or writed. The value of 'fastblink' means the blue led is blinking very fast, and the disk is being located. This object can not be 'fastblink' when the value of associated h3cDiskLocationState object is equal to 'disable'.

What is h3cDiskRunLedState?

This read-only value reports the state of the disk's blue running LED: on(1) means the disk is healthy and idle, blink(2) means it is actively being read from or written to, and fastblink(3) means it is currently being located (which can only occur when h3cDiskLocationState is enabled). Admins glance at this to gauge disk activity and confirm the locator function is working when trying to physically identify a drive. For example, seeing fastblink(3) after setting h3cDiskLocationState to enable confirms the correct drive's LED is now flashing rapidly for physical identification.
