getSubtreeRootStatus

Module: GET-SUBTREE-MIB

OID (symbolic): GET-SUBTREE-MIB::getSubtreeRootStatus

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.9911.1.1.1.1.4

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: RowStatus

Access: read-create

Description: The status of this row. The manager should create one row for each subtree to be retrieved. After the entire subtree retrieval operation is completed (or if the operation is aborted by the user) all rows in this table corresponding to that operation are automatically deleted by the agent.

Objects in this table cannot be modified while a GetSubtree retrieval operation is in progress.

What is getSubtreeRootStatus?

This RowStatus governs a row in the root table that a manager creates for each subtree it wants retrieved, and the agent auto-deletes the row once that retrieval finishes or is aborted. Objects in the row cannot be modified while the corresponding GetSubtree operation is in progress, so admins must fully define the row before creation. For example, a management station sets this to createAndGo alongside a chosen getSubtreeRootOID to queue one subtree for bulk retrieval.
