Description: The operating mode of the interface. Setting the value of this object to ds1(2) configures the interface as standard DS1. Setting the value of this object to dsx1(3) configures the interface to operate as a standard cross-connect DSX-1.
The value other(1) identifies another interface mode defined elsewhere. This value can never be set by management operation.
This object interoperates with the gdcDsx1Preequalization object. When this object is set to ds1(2), then the value of gdcDsx1Preequalization does not apply.
This object interoperates with the gdcDsx1AdminLineBuildout object. When this object is set to dsx1(3), then the value of gdcDsx1LineBuildout does not apply.
This object interoperates with the gdcDsx1AdminLineBuildout object. When this object is set to dsx1(3), then the value of gdcDsx1AutoLineBuildout does not apply.
This object interoperates with the gdcDsx1AdminReceiveRange object. When this object is set to dsx1(3), then the value of gdcDsx1ReceiveRange does not apply.
This object interoperates with the gdcDsx1AdminReceiveRange object. When this object is set to dsx1(3), then the value of gdcDsx1AutoReceiveRange is set to disabled(2).
What is gdcDsx1InterfaceType?
This selects whether the port behaves as a standard network-facing DS1 line (ds1) or as a DSX-1 cross-connect interface (dsx1). Several other settings, including line buildout, receive range, and preequalization, only take effect in one of these two modes.
