Description: The time in seconds when receiving a continuous AIS signal before a remotely initiated loopback is terminated. When this object has the value 4, then there is no time limit and the loop must be terminated by remotely issued in-band loopdown codes. When the object has a value between 5 and 60, then this is time in seconds of continuous AIS signal before the loopback is terminated.
What is gdcDsx1AISLoopdown?
This sets how many seconds of continuous AIS (alarm indication signal) must be seen before a remotely-activated loopback is automatically released, from 5 to 60 seconds; a value of 4 disables the timer entirely, meaning the loop can only be released by a remote in-band loopdown code.
