This read-write setting (disabled, enabledMajor, enabledMinor) controls whether a Sealing Current Non-Continuity fault (a break in the copper loop's protective current) drives the shelf's backplane Major or Minor alarm bus. A field technician relies on this alarm to detect a physical cable-splice fault on the copper loop.
