rlPolicyGalileoTuningOverProvisioning

Module: GALILEO-MIB

OID (symbolic): GALILEO-MIB::rlPolicyGalileoTuningOverProvisioning

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.89.56.4.1

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: For non-quantitative flows: Defines the function that is used to devide the aggregate rate (dependent on the number of flows using the specific meterId). The options for this mib variables are: - overProvisioning is 1/n -> may cause severe exceeding from permitted bw. - minorOverProvisioning is 1/(n+1)-> may cause minor exceeding from permitted bw. - underProvisioning is 1/(2^n) -> usaully causes to be under the permitted bw. where n is the number of flows using the specific meterId, initial value = 1.

What is rlPolicyGalileoTuningOverProvisioning?

Read-write enumeration selecting the rate-division formula the switch uses to split an aggregate meter's bandwidth across the flows sharing it: overProvisioning(1) divides evenly and may exceed the configured rate, minorOverProvisioning(2) is slightly more conservative, and underProvisioning(3) intentionally under-allocates to stay safely below the limit.

Examples

Walk all instances (SNMPv2c):

snmpwalk -v2c -c public <target> GALILEO-MIB::rlPolicyGalileoTuningOverProvisioning

Get a specific instance (index 1):

snmpget -v2c -c public <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.89.56.4.1.1
snmpget -v2c -c public <target> GALILEO-MIB::rlPolicyGalileoTuningOverProvisioning.1

Set instance 1 (SNMPv2c):

snmpset -v2c -c private <target> 1.3.6.1.4.1.89.56.4.1.1 i <value>
