configPasswordEncryption

Module: FSM726S-MIB

OID (symbolic): FSM726S-MIB::configPasswordEncryption

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.4.1.4526.1.1.11.39

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: INTEGER

Access: read-write

Description: Determines when the password is written to the configuration file whether it is written as clear text or encrypted format.

What is configPasswordEncryption?

This determines whether the password is stored in the configuration file as clearText(1) or encrypted(2). Admins set this to encrypted so that a saved or exported configuration file doesn't expose the login password in plain text.
