This read-only value identifies the type of an Alarm Object entry in the RTP alarm status table, serving as the table's index. An admin uses it to distinguish which category of monitored condition a given row's status and clear-action apply to, since the table lists Alarm Objects whose rows can be read and modified via other columns. For instance, polling this table might return several distinct AlarmType values, each representing a different alarm class currently tracked by the platform's fault management.
