flowReaderTimeout

Module: FLOW-METER-MIB

OID (symbolic): FLOW-METER-MIB::flowReaderTimeout

OID (numeric): 1.3.6.1.2.1.40.1.3.1.2

Node type: OBJECT-TYPE

Type: Integer32

Access: read-create

Description: Specifies the maximum time (in seconds) between flow data collections for this meter reader. If this time elapses without a collection, the meter should assume that this meter reader has stopped collecting, and delete this row from the table. A value of zero indicates that this row should not be timed out.

What is flowReaderTimeout?

Sets the maximum time, in seconds, allowed between collections by this meter reader before the meter assumes the reader has stopped and deletes its row; zero disables the timeout. An admin shortens this for a reader that must poll frequently, so a genuinely dead reader's stale registration is cleaned up quickly.
