Description: A disabled port neither transmits nor receives. The port must be explici- tenly enabled to restore operation. For token ring ports, this attribute is read-only.
What is genPortAdminStatus?
Administratively enables or disables this port; a disabled port neither transmits nor receives until explicitly re-enabled (read-only for Token Ring ports). An admin disables an unused or compromised port for security, remembering Token Ring ports can't be controlled this way via SNMP.
